Mastocol is a food intended for special medical purposes, containing the patented association of two active ingredients present in foods: palmitoylethanolamide, in micronized form (PEA-m®), and polydatin. PEA-m® has proven to be able to promote the maintenance of a correct function of the intestinal mucosa, and to contribute to the restoration of a correct visceral sensitivity, counteracting abdominal pain.

The association of PEA-m® with polydatin promotes the physiological control of mucosal homeostasis. In subjects suffering from IBS and under medical supervision, dietary supplementation with Mastocol was found to be effective in controlling intestinal pain, constipation and diarrheal forms.
