Occluder For Orthotic Therapies

Ortopad is a self-adhesive occluder used in orthotic therapies of amblyopia and strabismus.

SUPPORT

Support in 100% colored cotton non-woven fabric that allows skin transpiration, avoids the problem of perspiration by offering maximum comfort and with swelling polymers that generate a pleasant 3D effect.

CENTRAL PAD

It is composed of a very thin trilaminate material inside which there is a photo-absorbent black screen that prevents the filtration of light from the outside.

ADHESIVE

Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive (hot melt adhesive with pressure activated adhesive properties). High adhesiveness. Hypoallergenic. Solvent free. Latex free.

FORM

The shape of the patch is elongated in the area of ​​adhesion to the nasal saddle and allows the correct portability of the glasses at the same time as the occluder. The glasses are well aligned, without out of focus and discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch avoids the lateral filtration of light. This important attribute of Ortopad prevents abnormal movement of the eye muscles which can lead to worsening of the disease. The incisions in the area of ​​adhesion to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch which could lead to premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.

PACKAGING

To facilitate the choice of the most suitable format, the 1: 1 scale shape of the occluder is shown on the back of the cases and on the inner paper.

The product is a medical device belonging to class I according to directive 93/42 / EEC.
