MCT Oil is a liquid food based on medium chain triglycerides (MCT).

Indications

MCT Oil is indicated as a highly energetic supplement based on MCTs for the dietary management of patients with severe malabsorption or intolerance to fats, for use in ketogenic diets or when the use of MCTs is recommended.

Use and doses

MCT Oil provides 8.5 kcal / ml and can be used in infants, children and adults. A gradual introduction to the diet is recommended to avoid side effects such as abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

Recommended daily increment

• Infants (1-2 ml)
• Children (5-6 ml)
• Adults (7-10 ml)

Always administer diluted in liquids or food.

Contraindications and precautions

Do not use as the sole source of nutrition.
Do not use injecting.
The recommended dilutions are purely indicative; the quantities must always be established by the doctor.
