Melatonic is a food supplement of melatonin combined with adenosine and glycine capable of solubilizing melatonin and improving its bioavailability.

Melatonin is a ubiquitous substance in nature as it is present in the animal and plant kingdom and in every living organism. In humans it is physiologically produced above all at the level of the pineal gland (Epiphysis) in quantities that decrease with advancing age.

Recent studies are highlighting its importance in the biogenesis of mitochondria and attribute it to a significant role in the mechanisms that determine longevity.

Its deficiency is considered an important marker of aging.

Melatonin appears to be involved in the regulation of the sleep-wake rhythm and in the secretion of very important hormones. Initially it was used to regulate sleep in blind people, who, having no perception of the alternation of day or night (circadian cycles), can manifest disorders related to the phase shift of the biological clock such as general malaise, fatigue, decrease in appetite and sleep disturbances. Its mechanism of action is not yet fully clarified: it seems to be neither chemical nor biochemical, receptor, hormonal or pharmacological, but simply linked to its ability to give rise, every night and more or less at the same time, to a peak of production.

This begins with the arrival of darkness and ends with the light of the new day. This peak appears to be associated with a series of cascading positive events that ensure the body remains synchronized with physiological hormonal and cellular cycles. Melatonin is considered useful in particular for promoting the induction of REM sleep, improving memory deficits, depressive syndromes and fighting particular moments of stress.

It is also useful in promoting the body's adaptation to changes in time zones (jet-lag).

How to use

Take 1 tablet a day, in the evening just before bedtime. In case of jet lag, take the product just before going to bed on the first day of travel and for a few days after arrival at your destination.
