The probiotics contained in OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD have been shown to be able to colonize the intestine and multiply, even during antibiotic therapy.

How does OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD work?

Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) is the most common side effect of antibiotic treatment. The percentage of patients who experience this disorder, caused by the antibiotic itself or by bacteria resistant to the antibiotic such as Clostridium difficile, can vary between 5% and 49%. As a result, the natural bacterial flora of the intestine is decimated, resulting in digestive disorders, including carbohydrates. Undigested carbohydrates left in the intestine attract water causing diarrhea;

  • when the natural defense of beneficial bacteria fails, pathogens resistant to the antibiotic can multiply undisturbed in the intestine and take over. Pathogens such as Clostridium difficile release toxins (A and B), harmful substances that destroy intestinal cells and impair the absorption of salts, resulting in massive loss of fluids (= diarrhea) and salts. In 10 to 20% of patients, the prevalence of Clostridium difficile in the intestinal flora can even lead to pseudomembranous enterocolitis, a severe inflammation of the colon that can cause life-threatening conditions.

Numerous studies confirm that the targeted use of specifically developed probiotics and symbiotics allows the intestine to be recolonized with useful bacterial strains.

How is OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD taken?

For the entire duration of antibiotic therapy: dissolve 1 sachet of OMNi- BiOTiC® 10 AAD (= 5 g) 2 times a day in approx. 125 ml of water, mix, wait at least 1 minute (activation time), mix
again before drinking. After antibiotic therapy: take 1 sachet per day for another 14 days. OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD is also indicated in children over the age of one. Up to 3 years half is recommended
dosage. To be taken preferably on an empty stomach. Leave at least one hour between taking OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD and the antibiotic.

Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age.

Store in a dry place at room temperature. It is not necessary to keep the product in the fridge.
