Urinary U / C Low Purine

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary U / C Low Purine croquettes are designed for dogs with lower urinary tract diseases. Dry food that helps dissolve urate stones thanks to the special formula with low protein and purine content.

The formation of urinary stones can have different causes. If it is a question of irreversible disorders of metabolism in the elimination of uric acid, then one should resort to long-term dietary treatment. Royal Canin Urinary U / C low purine UUC 18 Veterinary Diet croquettes are suitable for dogs from 1 year as maintenance food and as a prophylaxis for relapses, ideal for subjects with urinary stones related to metabolism. The recipe contains select proteins with a low purine level and thus helps prevent cystine stones.

Indicated in case of:

• support diet in subjects undergoing treatments against leishmaniasis with xanthine oxidase inhibitors (eg: allopurinol)
• maintenance diet for adult dogs of specific breeds with a predisposition to the formation of urinary stones related to metabolism (e.g. Dalmatian)
• prophylaxis against recurrence of urinary stones linked to metabolism (urates, xanthine, cystine)

Contraindicated in case of:

treatments with urine acidifiers
pregnant or lactating females - puppies

Product specific features:


Duration of treatment:
urate stones: at least 6 months. If there are no changes in metabolism, administration can continue for life.
cystine stones: initially for a year. Monitor the progress of therapy with regular checks.

Composition:

rice, maize flour, wheat flour, egg powder, animal fat, wheat gluten *, mineral salts, maize gluten, vegetable fiber, fish oil, soybean oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, borage oil, extract of Marigold flower (source of lutein).

Physiological-nutritional additives:
vitamin A (25,000 IU / kg), vitamin D3 (800 IU / kg), iron (41 mg / kg), iodine (2.9 mg / kg), copper (12 mg / kg), manganese (55 mg / kg ), zinc (207 mg / kg), selenium (0.1 mg / kg) - preservatives - antioxidants.
