People who need to use indwelling bladder catheters are at particular risk of urinary tract infections. The main cause is the entry of bacteria into the system from the outside. About 30% of intraluminal colonization of bacteria occurs exactly at the point of connection between the bag and the catheter. ProfilCath Preconnected, an innovative complete closed loop system, offers a safe solution for this “critical area”: all risks associated with the use of open urinary drainage systems and the risk of accidental disconnection of the catheters are eliminated.

The closed-loop system
