Regularly checking your blood sugar allows you to evaluate the effectiveness of diet, physical activity and medications.

To perform the self-check test, you need a blood glucose meter, a test strip and a lancing device.

At this point, proceed as follows:

1. Wash and dry your hands carefully.
2. Use warm water to stimulate blood circulation in the fingers.
3. Prick the fingertip from the side using the lancing device to get a drop of blood.
4. Apply the drop to the test strip following the directions.
5. Wait a few seconds to get the results.
6. Discard the lancet and test strip following the instructions.

Thin Lancets are used with the Abbott blood glucose meter.

How to use

Always remember to wash and dry your hands before making the puncture. Sampling: Press the button once to charge and puncture.
