Components and Features

L-Acetylcysteine: is the acetylated form of the amino acid L-cysteine which is thus more stable and more easily absorbed in the intestine. In addition to the well-known mucolytic activity carried out by this molecule, another important effect is to counteract the action of free radicals as the molecule has a strong oxidizing-reducing and antioxidant action (L-cysteine is a natural precursor of glutathione, one of the most powerful natural antioxidants in the body). This effect turns out to be of particular importance in smokers.

Vitamin C: as well known, this vitamin has various roles including increases the body's resistance, strengthens and stimulates the function of the immune system, destroys free radicals and prevents cellular degeneration (including the aging process) as well as participates in the processes of cellular respiration. Particularly important is the association with L-acetylcysteine in the activity
antioxidant.

Bromelain from pineapple: contained in the stem, in the fruit and in the juice, it has always been known for its proteolytic properties (digestion of proteins) but not only. Its anti-edema and fi brinolytic action is also well known. Specifically and due to these characteristics, the 'fl uidifying' action against the mucus takes place at the bronchial level with potential bene fi cial in particular in cases of asthma, sinusitis or chronic bronchitis.

Althea officinali eg: it is a plant very rich in mucilage but its complex is also characterized by the presence of liavonoids, anthocyanosides and phenolic acids. It is traditionally used in inflammatory diseases of the upper airways and oral cavity for its anti-inflammatory and antitussive action. In particular, the mucilages present layer on the mucous membranes, in particular on those of the upper airways and protect them, on the one hand by preventing contact with toxic substances of various types, and on the other by allowing their repair and healing.

Grapefruit seeds eg: the extract of the seeds mainly contains bio fl avonoids and glycosides, and its effectiveness is based on the synergy of these different components that characterize the phytocomplex. Bioflavonoids have different properties, but in particular they carry out coagulant, haemostatic, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic actions, and are effective in slowing down the formation of free radicals (antioxidant action). Glycosides are a group of substances that possess important anti-infective effects. In fact, the broad spectrum activity of grapefruit seeds against bacteria, viruses and fungi is well known.

How to use

Children: from 3 years upwards 1 sachet per day or as needed to be dissolved in half a glass of water, even hot, and to be taken preferably between meals. Adults: 2 sachets per day or as needed, to be dissolved in half a glass of water also hot and to be taken preferably between meals. They do not contain lactose and gluten.
