Acticand 30 what it is for

Useful product both in the treatment and in the prevention of candida vulvovaginitis and related symptoms, in case of both acute episode (VVC) and relapsing forms (VVCR).
The formulation, thanks to the presence of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate and to its peculiar formulation in slow disintegration vaginal tablets, is able to create a temporary physical barrier to oxygen inside the lumen of the vagina following the development of carbon dioxide (CO2 ).

How Acticand works 30

In this way, an almost anaerobic environment is formed due to the process of physical exclusion of the oxygen molecules.
This characteristic is able, in turn, to counteract the establishment, persistence or propagation of a vaginal candida infection.
In this way, a barrier effect is determined against the yeasts of the candida genus, responsible for most of the vulvovaginitis in women.
Furthermore, the presence of the two microorganisms Lactobacillus fermentum LF 10 and Lactobacillus acidophilus LA 02 mediates a reinforcement of the above physical barrier action with a mechanism that turns out to be ancillary to that of citric acid, sodium bicarbonate.
Finally, the slight effervescence carries the lactobacilli throughout the vaginal lumen favoring their dispersion.
It also contains a suitable amount of fructo-oligosaccharide fibers (FOS) and arabinogalactan, capable of accelerating the onset of the positive effects ascribable to the two lactobacilli of the formulation.

Components contained in Acticand 30

One tablet contains:

• Citric acid.
• Sodium bicarbonate.
• Lactobacillus fermentum LF 10 (DSM 19187): no less than 400 million live lactobacillus.
• Lactobacillus acidophilus LA 02 (DSM 21717): no less than 400 million live lactobacillus.
• Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS): 332 mg.
• Arabinogalactan; 273 mg.

Excipients contained in Acticand 30

• Microcrystalline cellulose.
• Anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate.
• Glyceryl behenate.
• Sucrose palmitate.
• Silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).
• Magnesium stearate.

Format

Acticand 30 is sold in packs of 8 vaginal tablets.
