Afenil Gel Neutro MEDIFOOD - Food for Special Medical Purposes

Dietetic food intended for special medical purposes, for the dietary treatment of phenylketonuria in children from the 6th month of life onwards, in adults with known phenylketonuria and / or hyperphenylalaninemia and in maternal phenylketonuria.

How to use

Dosage : according to medical prescription, taking into account the patient's age, body weight, degree of phenylalaninemia and the patient's clinical condition.

To get a gel.

1. Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass. If desired, flavor with pleasure.
2. Add about 30ml of cold water. Mix well for about 10 seconds.
3. To obtain a creamy gel, let it rest for about 2 minutes. The reconstituted gel can be taken as is with a teaspoon or mixed with other permitted foods. For best results, whenever possible, it should be prepared and consumed immediately. Where necessary, the reconstituted product can be stored 24 hours in the refrigerator and stirred well before use.

To get a drink

1. Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass. If desired, flavor with pleasure.
2. Add about 80ml of cold water. Mix well for about 10 seconds.
3. Drink immediately.

The powder contained in an envelope, once opened, should be entirely consumed. Any excess should be kept refrigerated and used within 24 hours.

Warnings

It must be used under strict medical supervision, by people with known phenylketonuria.
The product cannot be the only power source. The diet must be supplemented with natural proteins, water and other nutrients in the prescribed quantities, to provide phenylalanine, fluids and other necessary nutrients.
Not to be used intravenously.
Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age.
