PHLEBOTONIC, AGAINST CAPILLARY FRAGILITY
The World Health Organization defines the varicose vein as a superficial, dilated and tortuous vein in which the blood circulates against the current.
Venous disease occurs when a vein malfunctions, causing a disturbance of normal blood flow. The veins gradually lose their elasticity, dilate and wear out. The skin may appear thinner and red with the appearance of dilated superficial veins commonly called varicose veins. Clinical symptoms of leg heaviness and fatigue usually subside with sleep, but over time they become more persistent and do not improve with rest either. Other symptoms may even appear such as night cramps, itching, a sense of heat, burning, etc. These signs indicate a disorder of the venous circulation, called Chronic Venous Insufficiency or CVI , characterized by a difficult return of blood from the lower limbs to the heart.
SYMPTOMS OF CHRONIC VENOUS DISEASE (Italian Phlebological Institute):
- Telangiectasias and venulectasias
- Visible and palpable varices
- Heaviness and fatigue in the lower limbs
- Night cramps
- Edema slopes
- Itching
- Pain up to venous claudication
- Hypodermatitis
- Skin pigmentations
- Varicose eczema
- Varicorrhages
- Ulcers
The symptoms are more pronounced in the warm months because the veins tend to dilate more, while during the winter the problem is reduced.
WHAT ARE HEMORROIDARY VARICES?
Hemorrhoids are normal anatomical vascular formations present at the level of the anorectal junction and the anal canal, consisting of cushions of venous tissue supported by elastic and muscular tissue.
The main risk factors for haemorrhoidal pathology are associated with an obstructed venous discharge of the haemorrhoidal plexuses, which makes them progressively congested, sensitive to trauma, with a tendency to prolapse outside the anal canal and bleed. The symptomatology manifests itself more in subjects between 45 and 65 years of both sexes; the risk factors include the irregularity of the hive, the abuse of laxatives, the hereditary predisposition and all the conditions that determine an increase in intra-abdominal pressure (such as pregnancy, ascites, intestinal pathology, pelvic neoplasms).
SYMPTOMS OF HEMORROIDARY DISEASE:
- Bleeding
- Itching
- Perianal burning
- Prolapse
- Tenesmus
- Ache
