Almaflex Plus Alma View Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid

Physiological solution containing cross-linked hyaluronic acid with remarkable viscoelastic properties. Sodium hyaluronate represents a fundamental component of the synovial fluid, being responsible for its particular viscoelastic properties. Almaflex Plus 40 is a substitute for synovial fluid, aimed at restoring the physiological and rheological properties of compromised joints, in the presence of painful states or with reduced mobility, due to degenerative or post-traumatic diseases.

Composition

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid, sodium chloride, phosphate buffer, water for injectable solutions.

How to use

Intra-articular infiltrate 1.6 ml of product every 3 months, unless otherwise advised by the doctor and according to the patient's conditions. In the opinion of the doctor, according to the patient's health conditions, it is possible to treat several joints at the same time. The volumetric gradation shown on the syringes is indicative.
Aspirate any joint effusion before injecting Almaflex Plus 40. Remove the cap from the syringe paying particular attention to avoid contact with the opening. Insert an appropriately sized needle (18 to 22G) by screwing it firmly to ensure a watertight seal and prevent solution leakage. Inject the device only into the synovial space, at ambient temperature and under suitable conditions.

Warnings

Do not use after the expiry date shown on the package. Do not use if the package is open or damaged. The injection site must be on healthy skin. Do not inject by vascular route. Do not inject into the knee joint in the presence of venous or lymphatic stasis of the limb. Do not inject outside the joint cavity, synovial tissue or joint capsule. Do not administer in the presence of strong intra-articular effusions. Almaflex Plus 40 must not be injected in the presence of skin infections, inflammation or affections in the area to be treated. After the intra-articular injection, advise the patient to avoid all intense physical activities and to resume normal activities only after a few days. The contents of the pre-filled syringe are sterile. The outer surface of the syringe is not sterile. Do not re-sterilize. The device is for single use only. Almaflex Plus 40 is sold by prescription only. Intra-articular injection should only be done by a doctor.
Side Effects: Extra-articular infiltration can locally cause undesirable effects. Symptoms such as pain, warmth, redness or swelling may occur at the injection site. In this case, the application of ice on the treated joint is useful. Under normal conditions, these symptoms disappear after a short time. The doctor should ensure that patients inform him of any side effects that occur after treatment. In rare cases the product can cause an allergic reaction.

Store at a temperature below 28 ° C and away from heat sources. Do not freeze. Once opened, the device must be used immediately and discarded after use.
