Peyronie's Disease or Induratio Penis Plastica (IPP) is a localized acquired fibrotic disease characterized by the hyperproduction of collagen tissue in the form of "plaque" affecting the tunica albuginea of the corpora cavernosa of the penis and their internal reticular spongy structure, with the consequent loss of elasticity. Thus, a simple deformation and / or a bending of the penis progressively occurs which, in addition to altering the aesthetics of the member, can in the most advanced cases make complete sexual intercourse difficult up to preventing it in the most serious cases.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the fundamental components of human connective tissue in nature; its use in the local treatment of PPI plaque has proved effective and safe showing positive results both on the reduction of the plaque volume and on the improvement of deformation or curvature.

Treatment with very low and medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid is easy to perform and well tolerated, with no risk of side or systemic effects.

How to use

The penetration of hyaluronic acid into the corpora cavernosa is possible only through the use of a hydrophoresis device. The quantity of hyaluronic acid to be used each time, every 48 hours, is 2.5 ml, to be placed on the absorbent surface of the machine corresponding to the electrode with negative polarity. The treatment in question with hyaluronic acid must always be prescribed by the doctor and for the duration recommended by him. This product must absolutely not be used through penile injections or infiltrations; its simple local use is unable to penetrate the albuginea and the corpora cavernosa.
