The Alterna® Mio closed two-piece bag has a mechanical fastening for greater safety

• The bag is firmly fixed to the adhesive plate by means of a mechanical coupling system. An audible 'click' confirms secure locking of the bag to the adhesive plate.
• Before the bag is closed, it can be rotated into the desired position without having to remove it from the adhesive plate.
• The pouch can be removed from the coiled baseplate, allowing the pouch to be replaced more frequently than the baseplate.

The Alterna® Mio closed two-piece pouch is available with a standard transparent, flat or convex backplate. The wide assortment consists of a range of adhesive plates in pre-cut or cut-out formats for maximum customization, accompanied by pouches in a variety of formats available in transparent and opaque versions.

The Alterna® two-piece closed pouch has a range of features designed to offer comfort and discretion:

• Efficient filter – the integrated three-layer filter avoids the risk of swelling of the bag and the formation of unnecessary protrusions, neutralizing odours.
• Soft fabric backing – strong and water repellent, makes it easy to dry off after a shower or swim.´
• Perfect adherence to body shapes – the shape of the anatomical bag makes it discreet and comfortable to wear.

Convexity, for stomas that are difficult to manage

Alterna® Mio closed two-piece pouch is available with two different levels of convexity and is specifically designed for difficult-to-manage ostomies (for example, a flush, retracted or located in a skin crease stoma). Applies pressure to the skin around the stoma to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude.

Convex Light:
A solution for flush or slightly retracted ostomies, offering additional protection through light and gentle pressure on the abdomen.

Convex:
A solution for retracted ostomies, deep skin folds and scars, providing additional protection through moderate to high pressure on the abdomen.
