With Alterna® Mio closed one-piece, the elastic adhesive is an integral part of the bag. To replace the pouch, the entire device is removed and replaced. The closed one-piece Alterna® Mio devices are available with flat or convex adhesive plates. The wide assortment consists of pre-cut or cut-out formats for maximum customization, equipped with bags in different formats available in transparent and opaque versions.

Convexity, for difficult to manage ostomies

Alterna® Mio One-Piece Closed is available in two different levels of convexity and is designed specifically for stomas that are difficult to manage (for example, a stoma that is flush, retracted or located in a skin fold). Apply pressure to the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude. Convex Light: A flush or slightly retracted stoma solution that offers additional protection by applying light, gentle pressure on the abdomen. Convex: A solution for retracted stomata, deep skin folds and scars, providing additional protection by moderate to high pressure on the abdomen.
