Alterna® is a mechanical attachment system that combines the exclusive spiral adhesive with an audible 'click' to ensure the secure locking of the bag to the adhesive plate.

Alterna® open bag is a mechanical attachment for greater safety

The bag is firmly fixed to the adhesive plate by means of a mechanical attachment system. An audible 'click' confirms the secure locking of the bag to the adhesive plate.
Before the pouch is closed, it can be rotated to the desired position, without having to remove the pouch from the adhesive plate.
The pouch can be removed from the spiral adhesive plate, allowing the pouch to be replaced more frequently than the adhesive plate.

Alterna® open bag is available with an adhesive plate for standard and extended application, flat or convex. The wide assortment consists of a range of adhesive plates with pre-cut or cut-out formats for maximum customization, accompanied by bags in a variety of formats, available in transparent or opaque colors.

Alterna® [Extra] Adhesive Offers Additional Protection Against Aggressive Effluents It is suitable for people with ileostomy or urostomy who have aggressive effluent that can cause standard adhesives to peel off faster.

A comfortable and discreet bag

Alterna open pouch has a range of features designed to offer comfort and discretion:

Self-Adhesive Closure Clip - a soft self-adhesive closure clip supplied with the pouch, offering a secure and easy-to-clean closure system.
Soft fabric support - the side of the bag in contact with the skin features a soft material lining, which allows the skin to breathe and dries quickly after a shower or a swim.
Smell Proof Film - the pouch is made from an anti-odor material.

Convexity, for difficult to manage ostomies

Alterna® open pouch is available with two different levels of convexity and is designed to help with a difficult to manage ostomy. A special oval-shaped shell applies pressure to the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude out of the skin.

Convex Light:

A solution for flush or slightly recessed stomata, which offers additional protection thanks to light and gentle pressure on the abdomen.

Convex:

A solution for retracted stomata, deep skin folds and scars, providing extra protection through moderate to high pressure on the abdomen.
