Dulcita Altromercato 1 kg is a brown sugar, produced in Ecuador with a simple artisanal method. The reeds are mechanically squeezed and the juice is concentrated by evaporation of the water, using sun-dried reeds as fuel. Dulcita thus retains the nutrients that are normally lost in the refining of white sugar. It is rich in mineral salts, in particular iron, a microelement which is difficult to cover the daily requirement. It is not chemically bleached and the natural presence of molasses gives it its amber color and non-crystalline appearance.
