AMIN_UP is a food for special medical purposes indicated for the dietary management of patients with senile or neoplastic sarcopenia, protein malnutrition and diseases with loss of muscle mass for the synthesis of muscle and plasma proteins. Also indicated in case of patients with dysphagia.
Characteristics
Essential amino acids in powder with thiamine and vitamin B6 with sugars and sweeteners. The product is gluten and lactose free.
Ingrediants
L-leucine, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-isoleucine, L-valine, thickener: xanthan gum; L-threonine, acidifier: citric acid; flavorings, stabilizers: sucrose esters of fatty acids, hydroxy-propyl-methylcellulose; anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide; L-cystine, L-histidine, L-phenylalanine, trehalose *, sweeteners: acesulfame K, sucralose; L-methionine, L-tyrosine, L-tryptophan, dye: riboflavins; thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6). * Trehalose is a source of glucose.
Doses and methods of use
The dose is individual and is defined by the attending physician according to the different needs of the patient. As a guideline we recommend one sachet (6.3 g) twice a day. Take the product immediately after preparation or within 24 hours if the preparation is stored in the refrigerator.
Preparation
Pour one sachet into a dry glass and dissolve well in 100-200 ml of cold water. In case of dysphagia: dissolve the powder in a little water (50 ml), adjusting the quantity to obtain the desired consistency. It is recommended to prepare the product at the time of use.
Important warnings
The product must be used under the direction and under medical supervision. It is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition and should not be administered parenterally.
storage
Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. The minimum storage term refers to the product correctly stored in an unopened package.
