How to use

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, it is advisable to use Stipsigol in the following ways.

• From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 0.8 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
• From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
• Adults and children over 11 years (> 20 kg): 10-30 g of product per day.

The dose can be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. In any case, it is advisable to consult a doctor. Use the product in pediatric children only after medical advice. The most correct daily dosage is to be decided on the basis of the weight of the child and the severity of constipation. The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 30 g of product per day. It is possible to divide the daily dose into more. administrations. Based on the dosage indicated above, take the quantity of product with the aid of the measuring cup with notches that allow you to dose 2.5 g (first notch) and 5 g (level measuring cup) of product.
Dissolve the quantity of product as indicated below.

• 1/2 measuring spoon: 2.5 g of macrogol, 1/4 of a glass of water (about 30 ml);
• 1 scoop: 5 g of macrogol, 1/2 of a glass of water (about 62.5 ml);
• 2 scoops: 10 g of macrogol, 1 glass of water (about 125 ml).

Warnings

Gastro-intestinal disturbances (abdominal pain, borborygma, diarrhea or loose stools), as well as nausea, mild vomiting, abdominal distension, flatulence, inflammation and perianal irritation may appear especially in the initial phase of use, effects which normally improve by reducing the dose.
Allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been observed very rarely. Other symptoms of allergic reactions such as itching, hives and dyspnoea. If the side effects persist, stop the treatment and contact your doctor for a consultation.

• Keep the device and any solution obtained out of the reach of children.
• During pregnancy or breastfeeding, take only after consulting your doctor.

• Absolutely do not exceed the recommended doses: in case of overdose, intense pains, abdominal distension may occur. • Do not use under 6 months.

The use of the device is not recommended in case of intestinal perforation or obstruction due to structural or functional disorders of the intestinal wall, ileum, severe inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon. Known hypersensitivity to macrogol (polyethylene glycol). Do not use in case of known gastric or intestinal lesions. Do not take the medical device during the use of other oral devices or medicinal specialties: the osmotic power of macrogol and the induced increase in gastrointestinal transit speed can adversely affect their effectiveness.
