CE medical device, class I, non-sterile. Standard and convex plates. The plate is equipped with a single-layer hydrocolloid skin protector with uniform thickness, to guarantee an effective seal. The special design of the skin protector avoids any contact of the flange with the peristomal skin. The plate structure is elongated downwards to improve skin protection under the stoma. The polyethylene flange has a high flexibility and is equipped, in the lower part, with a safety guide that allows easy positioning of the bag, ensuring correct coupling between the bag and the plate. It also features, in the upper part, a pressure coupling device for further guarantees of a secure union between plate and bag. The convex plate has a particular conformation of the convexity that allows a correct exteriorization of the stoma without exerting excessive and localized pressure on the peristomal skin planes. In fact, the pressure release is gradually distributed over a large area of the skin. The convexity measures 6mm deep.
The plate is made up of a monolayer of uniform thickness of skin hydrocolloid protector, joined to a junction ring with the low density polyethylene (LDPE) bag. It is also equipped with a polyethylene film that allows you to space the joint ring with the pouch from the base of the plate.This allows you to insert your thumbs under the ring to facilitate the union between the pouch and the plate avoiding pressure on the abdomen. The flange has a good flexibility and has a safety guide in the lower part that allows a safe and precise positioning of the bag. The skin protector is equipped with a protective paper that has the product identification data and the different cut-out lines of the skin protector imprinted according to the diameter of the ostoma.
