Elm is the Bach Flower corresponding to those who, although generally capable and confident on their path, are subject to temporary depression or feel overwhelmed by the burden of their task.
By his nature, the Elm type is led to measure his skills and resources with respect to the important project he is dedicated to. We can say that the Measure is its innate resource . This attitude, however, originates from a state of temporary overload that causes him to doubt his own possibilities with respect to the path he has taken to the point of indulging in depression.
Elm therefore invites us to develop the virtue of Resolve , i.e. the ability to act without hesitation for the fulfillment of one's role by giving the right measure both to one's resources, aware that they can be increased if they are given time to regenerate, and to the project, aware that it is still feasible. In fact, what makes Elm really functional is his ability to act resolutely, measuring himself above all with himself rather than with his own temporary successes or failures.
