knee brace
Description
Knee brace with graduated joint for cruciate ligaments and patellar pathologies.
The ligatek knee brace was created with the aim of stabilizing the knee joint of dogs with joint, traumatic or acquired incompetence.
The adjustable joints allow the control of the Range Of Motion, allowing depending on the needs to have both the total block of the joint and a controlled movement of the degrees of flexion-extension, managing to adapt in a versatile way to the needs of the dog. Ligatek is adjustable both in width (thanks to the shortenable bands) and in length, thanks to the upper and lower padding that can be lengthened or shortened on the leg to guarantee an excellent fit.
Thanks to the Ligatek brace, the knee joint can be adjusted in flexion-extension or totally blocked to preserve the surgery and allow for correct healing, reducing stress and excessive load.
Ligatek is indicated as post-operative support in case of:
- cranial-caudal cruciate ligament incompetence (TPLO, TTA operations);
- interventions on the patella (sulcoplasty, transposition of the tibial crest, fracture);
- extracapsular technique;
- synthesis of the patellar ligament.
Ligatek is indicated for the conservative treatment of:
- lesion and/or rupture of the cranial and caudal cruciate ligament;
- traumatic or acquired incompetence of the collateral ligaments;
- trauma to the joint capsule;
- patellar luxation.
How to use
Instructions for taking measurements.
Measurement A: Measure the circumference of the thigh halfway between the groin and the knee of the dog.
Measurement B: Measure the circumference of the dog's paw midway between the knee and the hock.
Measurement C: Measure the distance between the knee and the base of the hock.
Instructions for Use
All the adjustments indicated below must be made on both sides of the brace before applying it.
1. Stand the dog on all fours. Place the brace on the leg
of the dog, making sure that the central joint is positioned at the height of the knee joint.
2. Adjust the position of the lower padding: using only the larger key supplied, loosen the two screws and adjust the height of the padding, sliding it on the guide rail. Close the screws.
Format
Available in three adjustable sizes.
