Basenpulver-Pascoe Named Food Supplement

BASENPULVER PASCOE contains a mixture of carbonate mineral salts with the addition of basic magnesium carbonate, which can help meet the daily requirement of magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium and zinc which promotes normal acid-base metabolism. Calcium and magnesium also contribute to normal muscle function and the maintenance of normal bones.

How to use

1 teaspoon (about 4 g) or a sachet, dissolved in a glass of water, preferably in the evening before bedtime. Do not give to children under 4 years old.

Acid-base balance

Energy metabolism generates an accumulation of metabolic waste which is eliminated through the intestine, kidneys, skin and lungs. Many of these metabolic wastes are acidic and require appropriate neutralization in order to be eliminated. If the body produces a quantity of acidic metabolic waste greater than that which it is able to neutralize and eliminate, an accumulation of acidic substances will occur which will lead, over time, to acidosis. Likewise, the lack of alkaline substances can lead to a state of acidosis. To limit the damage induced by acidosis, the body will have to activate expensive compensation systems in order to counterbalance this imbalance. The body initially deposits acid waste in the connective tissue and then releases and eliminates it when basic mineral salts are again available in the blood. This phenomenon occurs practically every day in our body. An incorrect or unbalanced diet (excessive quantities of meat, cheese, coffee and reduced consumption of vegetables and wholemeal products) can cause a state of acidosis due to this type of diet. Other causes of acidosis can derive from poor oxygenation of the body and a reduced ability to eliminate waste through the kidneys. A sedentary life in closed environments does not always allow proper oxygenation. Finally, an insufficient fluid intake does not allow adequate elimination of waste, through the kidneys and skin (sweating). The zinc present in BASENPULVER PASCOE helps the body maintain the physiological acid-base metabolism.

Diet

Proper nutrition should include alkalizing foods for about 75% of daily consumption: fruit, vegetables,

potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, salad. Among the acidifying foods we find meat, poultry, cured meats, fresh and aged cheese, yogurt,

starchy products and desserts.

Many foods, despite being acidifying, are indispensable and must absolutely not be eliminated as an essential source of

proteins and vitamins, however their acidifying contribution must be compensated by the intake of foods with alkalizing content.

Physical activity, lifestyle

A walk in the woods or a bike ride improves oxygen supply and promotes the release of carbonic acid in the form of

carbon dioxide. Avoid, if possible, situations that generate stress.
