The decrease in the synthesis of two dermal proteins, Klotho and Thioredoxin, is the main cause of the onset of skin senile degeneration and therefore the first real start of chrono-aging . The Klotho protein, in fact, is able to inhibit the aging factor (AKT) which, starting from the age of 30, starts the cellular degradation process, responsible for skin aging.

At the same time, thioredoxin, the major antioxidant weapon of skin cells, begins to significantly decrease within the epidermis. Therefore, preserving the "production" of these two proteins is essential to hinder the aging process which manifests itself with the formation of fine wrinkles and loss of tone .

To counter these degradation processes, two active ingredients with cell regeneration activity, contained in Bio-Longevity Serum, are particularly effective. Lakesis, by stimulating the production of Klotho, counteracts cellular degeneration and thus promotes the synthesis of collagen and fibrillin, functional to dermal redensification; and Phormiskin which, by stimulating the synthesis of thioredoxin, a natural antioxidant of the skin, delays the skin aging process, carrying out an anti-aging activity.
