This product is used to prevent irritation of the lips due to atmospheric agents, especially cold and cold wind, in addition to the immediate and late damage produced by solar radiation. It is indicated in chapped lips, cheilitis and perléche. The presence of solar filters makes it useful in the prevention of herpes simplex labialis which can appear after exposure to the sun. The emollient action is guaranteed by beeswax (cera alba) and shea butter (butyrospermum parkii): they are "valuable" substances of natural origin with high power. The emollient action is also carried out by paraffin (paraffinum liquidum, paraffin), ozokerite and microcrystalline wax, substances of mineral origin which are added as a structuring base. The presence of vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate) exerts an anti-aging action, inhibiting the free radicals, stimulated by the sun, responsible for skin aging. In this regard, the presence of two solar filters is also important, one for UVA (buthyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) and one for UVB (ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate).
