Effectiveness

Thanks to its active ingredients, Cystophan helps relieve the symptoms of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) , a disease that affects many cats within 10 years, reducing episodes and severity. FIC is the leading cause of feline lower urinary tract infections (FLUTD), and has several predisposing factors both physical and environmental and management.
Cystophan helps support and preserve the bladder GAG layer; as stress is a worsening factor of the disease, it contains L-tryptophan , precursor of serotonin, called "happiness hormone" which helps to reduce the animal's stress, regulate appetite and sleep, decrease its anxiety. Contains N-acetyl D-glucosamine and hyaluronic acid, effective in protecting the bladder against attacks by bacteria and crystals.
It is a very palatable product as it is flavored with chicken.

Indications

CYSTOPHAN is very useful in the management of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, both in case of acute and chronic episodes. In the case of acute symptoms it reduces the duration and severity of clinical signs, while in the case of chronic symptoms it decreases the quantity and severity of the episodes.

Active Ingredients:

• N-acetyl d-glucosamine - precursor of chondroitin sulfate and keratin sulfate which make up the GAG layer that defines and protects the urothelium of the bladder. This layer, if strong and resistant, prevents the adhesion of bacteria to the cells of the mucosa.
• Hyaluronic acid - one of the main components of the GAG layer that protects the bladder, makes up its scaffolding.
• L-tryptophan: precursor of serotonin, it helps to reduce the animal's stress and state of anxiety; it also regulates appetite and sleep.
• Artificial chicken flavor: to increase palatability and compliance.

Administer the capsule whole or open it and spread the contents on the food.
