ACTION
LITHOS BUSTE also has a peculiarity that distinguishes it from all other mineral supplements: its alkaline nature. In fact, being based on citrate, an alkaline salt, it is also useful to supplement a diet low in alkaline values (fruit and vegetables) or to compensate for a diet with a high intake of proteins or fats that would cause an excessive acid load for the body.
This condition would facilitate, with its prolongation, the onset of some pathologies, such as osteoporosis and kidney stones, which often manifest themselves with a scarce presence of citrates in the urine. It should in fact be remembered that the citrate present in the urine represents one of the most important defenses against the formation of urinary stones.
From these considerations, it is the faculty of the attending physician to use LITHOS BAGS also to integrate deficient urinary levels of citrate and magnesium, as in calcic kidney stones, or to correct states of urinary hyperacidity, as in uratic stones, in accordance with what is indicated by the international literature. .

INGREDIENTS AND COMPOSITION
Tribasic potassium and magnesium citrate: the tribasic nature of the citrate salt improves and optimizes bioavailability, i.e. the ability to release potassium and magnesium, and at the same time carry out the alkaline action of this compound.

METHOD OF USE AND DOSAGE
We recommend taking two sachets a day, unless otherwise indicated by the doctor.
LITHOS BUSTE is to be taken preferably on a full stomach, taking the tablet with a little water. For different indications (prevention of kidney stones) follow the medical prescription.

WARNINGS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
LITHOS BUSTE is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalaemia or hypermagnesemia, or from conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. The simultaneous intake of LITHOS BAGS and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could cause hyperkalaemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor the progress of kalaemia. There are no known interactions with other drugs. Rarely, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea may develop during treatment. The tablet pack may be particularly suitable for these subjects.
