Bios 75

Food supplement based on arginine, citrulline, taurine, vitamins C and E, bacopa and rhodiola acidopholic acid which helps to counteract the oxidative damage produced by free radicals and is indicated to promote better attention, memory and concentration, as well as to promote relaxation and normal mood in case of physical and mental fatigue. (6)
L- Arginine
Arginine is an essential amino acid for baby growth, it stimulates the pituitary gland to secrete GH (Grouth Hormone = growth hormone) and prolactin, it stimulates the pancreas to secrete insulin and glucagon. This amino acid is particularly abundant in reproductive cells and reaches 50% in the sperm nucleus (1-2). After oral administration it is rapidly absorbed reaching the plasma peak after 2 hours. It is metabolized by the liver by hydrolytic cleavage. Arginine is used as an adjuvant in dispersions and hyperammonemias that are refractory to other conventional treatments. It has recently been shown that arginine is the fuel of the family of enzymes named NOS (Nitric Oxide Syntethase) capable of converting it into citrulline releasing nitric oxide (NO), this substance plays an important role in many biological processes: (3) 1 ) Cardiovascular system: acts as an evasodilator, promoting the relaxation of blood vessels, in particular at the level of the arterioles, allowing the blood flow to flow easily, also useful in the case of atherosclerotic disorders;
2) Immune system: cytokine-activated macrophages produce high quantities of NO to suppress harmful cells, such as bacteria and cancer cells;
3) Nervous system: it acts as a neurotransmitter at both central and peripheral level and is involved in the processes of apoptosis in neurons;
4) Inflammatory process: enhances cyclooxygenase (COX) favoring the production of pro-inflammatory diicosanoids. L-citrulline (1-3) It is a tonic used in case of diasthenia. Its biological activity is expressed through an increase in the production of nitric oxide, stimulating the secretion of GH, delaying muscle fatigue, promoting the resynthesis of ATP and phosphocreatine.
Taurin (1-2)
Taurine has a detoxifying and antioxidant action, in particular on the liver, it also has a tonic-stimulating action on the body.
Vitamin C (1)
Antioxidant-stimulating vitamin. An adequate supply of vitamin C improves the absorption of iron, thus favoring the transport of oxygen by the blood and consequently has a tonic effect on the body.
Vitamin E (1)
Vitamin E protects the body's tissues from harmful reactions (peroxidations) that originate both during normal metabolic processes and as a result of external toxic agents. In particular, its protective action is manifested on the cardiovascular system, on the nervous and muscular system. It also protects vitamin A from oxidation.
Folic acid (1)
Folic acid, a B vitamin, ensures correct maturation of red blood cells, plays an important role in regulating the genetic code of cells. (Taken by pregnant women, it contributes to the correct development of the nervous system and the reproductive system of the unborn child).
Bacopa monnieri dry extract (20% bacosides) (4)
Bacopa works by enhancing protein synthesis in the hippocampus, a region of the brain instrumental in long-term storage. According to Nobel laureate Dr Robert Furchgott, Bacopa is capable of increasing the production of nitrogen monoxide (NO), an essential chemical messenger. In stressful conditions associated with sleep deprivation, bacopa administration leads to a reduction in glutamate concentrations and an increase in GABA in different parts of the CNS. Anxiety levels are reduced by about 20% and mental fatigue has decreased. Levels of serotonin (an inhibitory neurotransmitter) are increased. Bacopa's ability to influence psychoneurological functions associated with intellectual behavior opens up interesting new perspectives.
Rhodiola dry extract (1% salidroside) (5)
The adaptogenic action, favoring learning and memory skills in general, well known from Siberian folk medicine, has been scientifically proven with the use of total hydroalcoholic extracts in various studies, published in accredited journals as early as the 1970s. These properties are conducive to the presence of phenylpropanoid glycosides, in particular salidroside and rosavidine, whose chemical structure is similar to that of syringin (eleutheroside B), one of the active ingredients of eleutherococcus. Salidroside also showed an anabolic effect by increasing the working capacity and organic performance. Rhodiola produces an increase in the plasma concentration of beta-endorphin which prevents hormonal changes indicative of stress, shows a cardioprotective effect and improves the body's resistance to toxins.
