Retilife plays a fundamental role in protecting tissues from damage caused by cellular oxidation caused by free radicals and oxidative stress factors.

Composed of natural substances, minerals, trace elements and plant extracts, it complies with the indications of the AREDS studies and subsequent amendments by the AREDS 2, presented at the ARVO 2013 congress.

In the formulation, beta-carotene was eliminated to avoid the possible inhibition of lutein as indicated in the same congress.

To enrich the rationale of this supplement, the following contribute:

• Zeaxanthin: protection from photooxidative damage
• MSM (methylsulfonylmethane): detoxifying and soothing action
• Q Ubidecarenone: antioxidant, vaso-protective function
• Vitamin A: promotes visual processes, antioxidant
• Selenium: improves the metabolism of fats and phosphorus
• Bilberry: protection of the endothelium of the capillaries
• Red grape seeds: retinal antioxidant
• Elderberry: anti-edema and anti-neuralgic action

The dosage of the individual active ingredients has been studied and optimized for supplementary support for the daily diet, as expressly indicated by the RDA (Recommended Dietary (or Daily) Allowance) of the Italian Ministry of Health and by Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 .

Indications

Indicated in the prevention of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic maculopathies and retinopathies. Also protective against cataracts, it carries out a preventive and stabilizing action of the disease. Finally, it offers good photo protection for especially clear eyes.
