Active principles
S-allyl-cysteine (SAC): precursor amino acid of allicin with antioxidant properties, devoid of the pungent smell typical of garlic.
Polyphenols : wide variety of compounds found in foods of plant origin that show evident antioxidant properties.

Curiosity
Black garlic is derived from the fermentation of the fresh bulb. By virtue of this process, compared to traditional garlic it has a 10 times higher concentration of antioxidant bioactive compounds (S-allyl-cysteine and polyphenols) and a lower content of allicin - from which it follows, among other things, the attenuation of the typical smell.
In nature there are different varieties of garlic, but the black garlic contained in this product is the result of a particular fermentation process, which changes its appearance and color, making the flavor sweet and the texture soft. Thanks to this meticulous procedure, a compound is obtained that retains and exclusively enhances the beneficial properties of garlic.

The S-allyl-cysteine, present in this supplement, is a water-soluble, odorless, stable sulfur compound derived from cysteine and is easily absorbed by the intestine. Numerous studies attest to the antioxidant properties of garlic and S-allyl-cysteine.
