INTENDED USE
BLEPHADEMODEX is recommended: - for daily eyelid hygiene in case of Demodex infection, - to relieve symptoms of infection or inflammation of the eyelids caused by Demodex. Demodex is the most common microscopic skin parasite. Demodex infection contributes to inflammation of the eyelids (blepharitis). Demodex is not removed from the usual daily cleaning systems. The presence of cylindrical dandruff, which remains at the base of the eyelashes, is strongly indicative of Demodex infection. BLEPHADEMODEX cleans scabs, dandruff, impurities and infectious agents on eyelids and lashes. BLEPHADEMODEX improves symptoms related to Demodex infection, such as itching, burning, dryness and inflammation of the eyelid margin, by removing the Demodex parasites. Redness at the edge of the eyelids and foreign body sensation are reduced. Sensitive skin is soothed and regenerated by sodium hyaluronate, a skin moisturizing agent. BLEPHADEMODEX is formulated with Terpinen-4-ol and is well tolerated as it is free of detergents and preservatives. BLEPHADEMODEX has a fragrance-free formula, however it can give the sensation of a fresh scent to its components. It dissipates in minutes. The color of the gauze (lotion) may vary. This is due to natural plant extracts and is normal.
DOSE
Mild to moderate symptoms: use once daily, preferably in the evening for 4 weeks. Moderate to Severe Symptoms: Use twice daily, morning and evening for 4 weeks. The healthcare professional will be able to adapt the dosage and duration of treatment according to the severity of the symptoms. As with other similar treatments for blepharitis, concomitant use of artificial tears should be recommended by healthcare professionals. BLEPHADEMODEX can be used from 18 years of age.
