After the female versions, Bottega Veneta launches its first male perfume for autumn-winter 2013/14: Bottega Veneta Pour Homme.
Tomas Maier, creative director of the maison, imagines a trip to the north of Veneto, in the Dolomites, transformed into a fragrance by the master perfumers Daniela Andrier and Antoine Maisondieu.
The composition revolves around the precious cistus labdanum, known as the 'dew of paradise'; in the top notes we find refreshing accords of Bergamot from Calabria, Siberian Pine and Juniper from the Balkans; the heart adds spicy notes of Jamaican pepper, Canadian fir resins and Mediterranean clary sage; the whole rests on a strong base of Andalusian cistus Labdanum, Indonesian Patchouli and essence of leather.
The fragrance is fresh, delicate, discreet but at the same time intriguing and defined.
The bottle takes up the shapes of the female version, covering the bottle with smokier colors; the cap, the collar and the designer screw closure that protects the nappa ribbon are in a metallic black color balanced by the platinum logo embossed on the glass.
