Clinical research indicates that the definition of “fever” and the associated alert level change with age.
The new Braun Digital Flexible Thermometer allows you to set the age of whoever is about to measure the fever.
Temperature readings also vary depending on the measurement site, for example oral temperature is generally 0.1 ° C higher than axillary and rectal temperature 0.6 ° C higher than axillary.

How the Age Precision system works

Set the age by pushing the “Age Precision” button: 0-3 months, 3-36 months, 36 months-adults
Measure the fever.
Interpret the result with the aid of the color coded display (only for axillary measurements).
