Description
It is designed to support the radio-carpal, carpo-metacarpal and tarso-metatarsal joints, both of the front and rear legs. For dogs suffering from pathologies such as: hyperextension or hyperflexion of the carpus or tarsus, ligament sprains, strains, minor bone infringements that can be resolved if conservative treatment is preferable to surgery.

In the case of use on the front leg, BT Joint is also recommended, as its use on the healthy paw will help the dog to better compensate for the load it has to bear due to the deficit of the other paw. If BT Splint is used for the hind leg, we recommend the use of BT Joint for both front legs. Once the brace has been mounted around the dog's paw, the 2 white edges do not need to be closed around the paw until they touch, as the brace is closed by the blue bands and the brace action is given by the splint on the back of the brace .
The metal splint in resistant moldable material inserted inside the fabric follows the back of the forearm until it welcomes the plantar cushion, stabilizing the affected area and allowing the dog to move freely. Also ideal as protection for bandages inserted inside, it allows faster recovery times.
- XXS and XS size is also good for cats.
- Metal splint in resistant mouldable material.
- The brace can be used both pre- and post-operatively.
- Breathable fabric.
- Fit.
- Hand washable.
- The splint is already included in the brace.
How to use
Prepare the brace by opening all the bands and placing it on the palm of the affected paw. The phalanxes must remain free. Hold the brace firmly against the dog's paw and wrap it with the brace's fabric flaps. It is not necessary that the flaps match or overlap each other. They must be adherent to the paw. Secure the brace to the paw by firmly closing the upper bands with the Velcro. The guardian must not be free to rotate on the paw. Firmly close the lower band around the dog's paw, taking care to leave the spur free. Apply the protective sock or shoe to the affected paw to protect the suit from surfaces that could damage it.
Recommendations:
During the period of restraint, it is advisable not to leave the dog alone for too long, because it could try to remove the brace, biting or scratching it. Direct contact with the ground can damage the brace, therefore to ensure its integrity, it is necessary to protect it during use by making the dog wear a protective shoe or sock, which can be purchased in any pet store. Do not leave the brace on the dog for the whole day: the brace must be worn during the day, especially during times of physical activity, and must be removed at night.
storage
Keep in a cold and dry place.
