Dietary supplement

Stimulates the immune system; to be taken in case of capillary fragility and bleeding, in states of stress and fatigue

DEFICIENCY SYMPTOMS:
- gingival hemorrhages, of lips, skin, eyes and other areas, due to capillary fragility;
- alteration of bones and teeth;
- anemia;
- increased sensitivity to infectious diseases;
- gastrointestinal disorders;

In adults, scurvy proceeded from fatigue, irritability, vague pain in muscles and joints, gum bleeding and tooth loss.

These symptoms can be explained by knowing how vitamin C works:
it is necessary for the formation of the connective tissue, that is the substance that supports, nourishes and protects the cells and envelops the capillaries, consequently if this is altered it explains both the capillary fragility and the weakness of teeth and bones and the difficulty of repairing wounds ;
stimulates the activity of leukocytes and the production of antibodies with action on the immune defenses;
protects the body from oxidation and therefore from premature aging;
promotes the absorption of iron, especially in people who do not eat animal products or who have undergone resection of part of the stomach;
it stimulates the function of the adrenal cortex, and therefore has an anti-stress, anti-fatigue and generalized stimulus action both on a physical and mental level.

Rosehip (Rosa canina) fruits eg (tit. 70% Vitamin C) 70 mg.
Acerola (Malpighia punicifolia) fruits es (tit. 25% Vitamin C) 20 mg.
Total intake in Vitamin C 1000 mg. 1250% RDA

Vitamin C and smoking: At the end of last year, the recommended daily intake of vitamin C was increased for smokers, after it was seen that vitamin C levels in their blood were considerably lower than in non-smokers. . Smokers have a lower absorption, greater consumption and renal elimination of vitamin C. In practice, the recommended dose is double compared to non-smokers and is fixed at at least 100 mg per day.
Vitamin C and infections: in a 1990 study, which recently appeared in the Medical Press, there are data showing that the administration of vitamin C at a dose of at least 500 mg per day is able to significantly reduce the manifestations and symptoms of colds common viral. There was a drastic reduction in the duration of the disease (7.1 days versus 12.3 days).
The administration of vitamin C also appears to be able to reduce the transmission of the virus. (Medical Press, February 1, 1991). Considering that to date there is no valid drug therapy for colds, natural cures (propolis, essential oils, etc.) and vitamin C can be used successfully in these problems.
Vitamin C and tumors: Vitamin C has an antitumor effect both because it stimulates the immune defenses due to its antioxidant action. At the gastric level, in particular, "it certainly blocks the transformation of nitrates into carcinogens in the stomach between the incidence of gastric carcinoma and the absorption of vitamin C" (Nutrition and carcinogenesis, Medical Federation 3 - 1986)
