Calendula is indicated in case of injuries, sores or inflammatory states.

Thanks to the content of carotenoids, calendula contributes, in fact, to increase the production of fibrin, facilitating tissue regeneration and therefore wound healing. Useful in cases of dry, chapped and reddened skin, against dermatitis caused by diapers in children, eczema, dermatosis.

Calendula is rich in precious active ingredients for the skin: vitamin C, essential oil, flavonoids (narcissin and rutin), resin, mucilage, carotenoids, triterpenoids and saponins.

The typical color of the flower consists of a pigment having lycopene, vilaxanthin and beta-carotene as main components. The latter, along with lutein and zeaxanthin are powerful antioxidants.
