Carbo Stop contains phaseolamine, a glycoprotein extracted and purified from white kidney beans ( Phaseolus vulgaris ), which acts as a selective inhibitor of alpha-amylase.
Alpha-amylase is an enzyme secreted by saliva and pancreas and is responsible for breaking down starches into sugars.
Phaseolamine, by inhibiting alpha-amylase, hinders the conversion of complex carbohydrates to simple sugars which, if not used immediately by the body, would be accumulated as reserve fat.
This supplement can be useful in case of excessive consumption of starches (pasta, bread, rice, potatoes).
One tablet of Carbo Stop provides a sufficient amount of phaseolamine to inhibit the absorption of 100 grams of starch, corresponding to 400 kcal.
Taking Carbo Stop therefore supports the body's natural ability to reduce the conversion of starches into body fat.
