Cationorm Pro what it is for
Cationorm PRO is a sterile, preservative-free ophthalmic emulsion. Cationorm PRO contains: medium chain triglycerides, glycerol, tiloxapol, poloxamer 188, cetalkonium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections. Each single-dose container of Cationorm PRO contains 0.4 ml of sterile emulsion. Cationorm PRO is indicated in the treatment of dry eye symptoms. Promotes hydration, lubrication and protection of the ocular surface. It is recommended for the relief of dry eye symptoms, characterized by tingling, itching or burning in the eyes or a sensation of a foreign body (sand, dust, etc.). These symptoms can be caused by external factors such as air conditioning, pollution, air travel, video terminal work, eye surgery, refractive surgery, contact lenses, etc. or from diseases such as blepharitis or meibomian gland dysfunction.
How is Cationorm Pro used
Ophthalmic use. The recommended dose is one drop in each affected eye, 1 to 4 times a day. Instructions for Use:
- to wash hands;
- carefully open the aluminum bag that contains five single-dose containers;
- take a single-dose container from the aluminum bag and keep the one / s closed inside the bag;
- gently shake the single-dose container before use;
- unscrew the upper part of the single-dose container;
- tilt your head back;
- gently lower the lower eyelid and look upwards;
- hold the single-dose container over the eye and press lightly so as to instill a drop in the eye, open and close the eyes several times. ;
- do not touch the eye or eyelashes with the tip of the single-dose container.
The single-dose container should be used immediately after opening and discarded after use. The reuse of a single-dose container that has already been opened exposes you to the risk of infection.
Warnings before using Cationorm Pro
Do not use Cationorm PRO if you are allergic to any of the components of the product.This product is not intended for the treatment of other eye conditions. For more information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you use concomitant other eye drops, you should wait at least 5 minutes between administrations of each subsequent eye drop. It is recommended to use Cationorm PRO last. Compatible with all types of contact lenses. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use if single-dose containers are damaged.
Undesirable effects with the use of the product
in very rare cases, a temporary sensation of ocular discomfort may occur such as: eye irritation, eye pain, redness of the eye, shiny eyes, ocular discharge, temporarily blurred vision, inflammation of the eyelids or edema of the eyelids. These symptoms are part of the typical manifestations of dry eye syndrome associated with pre-existing medical conditions present in patients with dry eye. Proper storage of Cationorm Pro
It is advisable to keep the single-dose containers in the bag, inside the outer package, below 30 ° C.
After opening the aluminum bags, the single-dose containers must be kept in the bags in order to protect them from light and avoid evaporation.
Open single-dose containers containing residual emulsion must be discarded immediately after use. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.
Validity for intact packaging: 36 months.
