The nasal cannula, better known by the name of goggles, is a very well known device and consists of a flexible tube that ends with two straws for the nostrils in which oxygen is delivered. The premise is therefore that the patient breathes through his nose. In the absence of other aids, it is also possible to place the holes in correspondence with the mouth instead of the nose if the patient breathes with his mouth open (usually elderly or with cognitive deficits).
