Composition
Disposable 100% cotton gauze pad, folded and impregnated with a white water-repellent ointment (white vaseline according to Ph. Eur.).

Application
Vaseline gauze swabs are used for nasal cavity tamponade, for surgical wound dressing and for hemostasimaxillo-facial. They should only be applied on the prescription of a doctor or pharmacist. The impregnation with the ointment minimizes the risk of adhesion to the wound, favoring removal in an atraumatic way. The application time will be determined by the medical staff depending on the indication or the state of the wound.

Warnings
When used as a nasal hemostat, each swab should be applied by thickening the gauze and for a short time Vaseline gauze swabs should be used within one year of opening the package.
