Description
Non-sterile solution indicated in sinus-nasal pathologies and their complications (acute rhino-sinusitis, chronic purulent rhino-sinusitis, naso-sinus polyposis, allergic rhinopathies, mycotic rhinusitis, secretory otitis media), characterized by: edema of the naso-sinus mucosa, alteration of the pneumatization of the paranasal sinuses, reduction or loss of mobility and ciliary motility, accumulation of muco-purulent secretions in the naso-sinus area and in the auditory tubes.
The solution containing cucurbitacin BDIE, administered in micro drops into the nostrils via nasal spray, produces an action on the surface of the mucosal epithelium which causes an electrolyte and osmotic alteration, which is followed by a physiological process of expulsion of the muco-purulent secretions present in the nasal district -sinus and in the auditory tubes, the restoration of ciliary mobility and motility, the reduction of edema of the naso-sinus mucosa, the restoration of pneumatization of the paranasal sinuses, the reduction of the size of the sinus polypinatus.

Instructions for use
Adults and children (age >10 years)
Make 2 sprays per nostril 2 times a day (morning and evening), for 7 consecutive days. The treatment can be prolonged up to 14 days or repeated 6-7 days after the first (depending on the symptoms and the muco-purulent secretions present).
For use of the product in chronic nasal-sinus pathologies or post-surgery, it is recommended to repeat the treatment for at least 2 cycles, interspersed with 6 days of non-treatment.

Components
Functional substances: cucurbitacins BDIE 50 mcg/ml extracted from Ecballium elaterium; excipients: purified water, mint flavouring, methyl paraoxybenzoate, propyl paraoxybenzoates.

Warnings
All operations must be carried out delicately, avoiding introducing the spray nozzle too deeply into the nostrils and maintaining an upright position during administration. Close the bottle after each application.
The product should not be administered to children under 10 years of age and pregnant women.
The use of the product in association with sympathomimetic drugs is not recommended, as it may cause a decrease in the effectiveness of the product.
The tests carried out did not highlight any particular undesirable effects; rarely, slight signs of irritation and congestion of the nasal mucosa may occur, together with a sensation of stuffy nose.
Other rare side effects may include rhinorrhea and mild mouth irritation.
Overdose of the product, frequent and continued over time, in no case puts the health of the user at risk, even if it increases the probability of the undesirable effects already described occurring.
Rarely, overdose can lead to the onset of low-grade fever (only for 3-4 hours).
