Reagent indicated for the determination of somatic cells in milk according to the CMT method (California Mastitits Test).
How to use
1) The milk used for the test must be taken before milking.
2) Discard the first three jets of milk from each udder.
3) Pour the fourth jet taken from each single udder into the four different trays of the paddle.
4) Fill each hollow of the scoop up to the indicated level (approx. 2-3 ml).
5) Pour an equal dose of reagent into each tray, making sure that no foam is created.
6) Mix the milk and the reagent in a slow motion. The results are visible after 10 seconds.
Diagnosis:
1) If the milk-reagent mixture is runny and has no ripples, the milk is in good condition.
2) If the mixture has ripples when you tilt the paddle, the masthead is starting to show up.
3) If the mixture has gelatinous formations, mastitis is already present.
4) If the mixture is thick and a gelatinous mass has formed, the mastitis is fully developed.
