Cold-Active Liquid EOS - Food Supplement

Food supplement based on Pelagon-P70®, standardized dry extract of the roots of Pelargonium sidoides with Hyaluronic Acid and Plantain which favors the functionality of the upper respiratory tract and the mucous membranes of the respiratory system.

MAIN ACTIVE

PELAGON-P70®: standardized dry extract of the roots of Pelargonium sidoides, a plant of the Geraniaceae native to the coastal regions of South Africa. The active ingredients have shown in various studies an indirect antiviral and antibacterial effect, anti-adhesive and secretion-motor action.

PLANTS: herbaceous plant very common in Italian meadows both in the plains and in the mountains. The dry extract of the leaves is titrated at 1% in verbascoside, a glucoside with antioxidant and immunomodulating activity. Other important components are flavonoids and mucilages. Popular tradition attributes to the plant bechiche and expectorant properties that make it useful in case of acute respiratory infections and bronchitis. The mucilage polysaccharides offer emollient action in the presence of oral irritation, pharyngeal mucosa and dry cough.

HYALURONIC ACID: hygroscopic macromolecule capable of trapping large quantities of water and ions, providing hydration and firmness to the tissues. It is present in the apical part of the cells that line the airways and in mucous secretions. The data of some studies have pointed out that high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate has important functions on mucociliary clearance, tissue hydration, defense against microorganisms and tissue repair. In the upper airways it acts as a barrier against the spread of microorganisms, toxic substances and foreign bodies.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Take 9 ml (3 doses of 3ml) for children, and 30 ml (3 doses of 10ml) for adults per day, for 7-10 days, preferably between meals. Begin treatment at the onset of symptoms and continue for 7-10 days or for at least 3 days after the symptoms have disappeared.
