Colpofix® is a medical device useful for the maintenance and control of the physiological conditions of the transformation zones of the cervico-vaginal mucosa, even in case of alterations due to HPV.

Indications

Colpofix® is an innovative preparation in terms of formulation and method of use: it is in fact a gel with thixotropic characteristics which upon dispensing, due to the force of mechanical compression, transforms into a liquid which returns to gel form after application. . This feature allows a uniform and effective distribution of the mucoadhesive preparation on the cervico-vaginal mucosa.

Action

Thanks to its composition it is useful for the maintenance and control of the physiological conditions of the transformation zones of the cervico-vaginal mucosa, even in case of alterations due to HPV.

How does Colpofix® work?

Colpofix® contains as functional substances: Polycarbophyl and Carboxymethyl Betaglucan. In particular, the mechanisms of action with which Colpofix® is effective for the proposed indications are the following: - formation of a protective mucoadhesive film capable of protecting the vaginal mucosa from external microbial agents and assisting in the maintenance and control of physiological conditions of the areas of transformation of the cervico-vaginal mucosa by means of hydration. - maintenance and / or restoration of the vaginal microbiota through the regulation of vaginal pH to an acid pH value by polycarbophyl and through a prebiotic effect of carboxymethyl beta-glucan.

Method of use and dosage

It is advisable to make one application (5 sprays) a day, for 10 days, in the evening before a night's rest.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Do not shake the product before use. Take a vaginal applicator out of its protective wrapper. Remove the cap from the bottle. Insert the applicator onto the dispensing nozzle of the bottle. Activate dispensing by pressing the dispenser button for the first time until the product appears. Introduce the applicator deeply into the vagina, lying on the back, with the knees bent and make 5 sprays in a single application. Discard the applicator after use. Close the bottle with the cover cap.

Warnings and Contraindications

The color of the gel may undergo variations due to the use of natural ingredients which can undergo changes without altering the quality of the product. The product is for vaginal use. Do not swallow. In confirmed or presumed pregnancy and in case of concomitant local pharmacological therapies, the use of the gynecological solution must only take place on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. The product is not intended for pediatric use. Keep the product out of sight and reach of children. Prolonged use of the product, as with all topical products, can give rise to sensitization or local irritation, if this happens, stop the treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use the product if the package or cannula is damaged or not perfectly intact at the time of first opening. Use the product in accordance with the instructions for use. The cannula is for single use only and must not be reused.
Store in a dry place, away from light and heat sources. The expiry date indicated refers to the intact and correctly stored product.
