Glucosamine
Natural amino sugar which is produced in the body from glucose and from glutamine, and which intervenes in the biosynthesis of glucosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, essential constituents in the trophism of joint cartilages. Glucosamine is therefore essential in the synthesis of articular cartilage and in the repair of damaged cartilages. Furthermore, scientific studies have shown that Glucosamine is able to modify the metabolism of chondrocytes (cells that produce cartilage components) and to play an important role in the well-being of joint function.
Chondroitin Sulfate
Mucopolysaccharide whose function at the cartilage level is to contribute to the elasticity of the cartilage and to prevent the action of some enzymes responsible for the degradation of the cartilage. Furthermore, chondroitin sulphate favors the transit of liquids in the cartilage tissue, helping to lubricate the joints.
Hyaluronic acid
Main constituent of the synovial fluid present in the joint cavities. Its function is to keep the joint lubricated, protecting the cartilage from wear and excessive loads.
