From birth until the 6th month - To be used only on the advice of the pediatrician.
Mellin Comfort 1 is indicated for infant feeding from birth up to the 6th month, when breast milk is lacking or insufficient. Mellin Comfort 1 is a 50% partially fermented milk with selected lactic bacteria and which allows to keep the ß-galactosidase enzyme active. It is also thickened with starches (from corn and potato).
Important for Mellin
Breast milk is the ideal food for the infant and should be favored and used for as long as possible . When breastfeeding is not possible or not sufficient, you can switch to the use of a milk for infants only on the direct advice of the pediatrician .

How to prepare Mellin 1
Before preparation, make sure that the environment in which you are working is clean and wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
Wash and rinse the bottle, the teat and the ring well.
Sterilize bottle, teat and ring. If you do not have a sterilizer available, boil them for at least 5 minutes in water. Keep the pot and the sterilized objects closed with the lid until the moment of use. Be careful when handling objects if they are hot.
Boil the quantity of drinking water necessary to reconstitute the product for at least 5 minutes in a clean container and allow it to cool.
Pour the lukewarm water into the sterilized bottle following the instructions given in the average feeding table.
Add the level scoops of powder according to the indications of the average feeding table using only the scoop contained in the package.
Close the bottle and shake it well to dissolve the powder.
Once the product is ready, test the temperature on the wrist and administer immediately to the infant. Consume within half an hour of preparation.
Do not reuse any leftover prepared product, and do not heat or boil the milk once it has been reconstituted.
Immediately after use, close the package tightly and store in a clean, cool and dry place (not in the refrigerator). Consume within 1 month of opening.
Warnings before using Mellin 1
Follow the directions carefully; inadequate preparation and storage methods and hygiene rules that are not carefully followed could pose a risk to the health of the infant.
The reconstitution of Mellin Comfort 1 is 13.9% and is obtained by adding a level measure of powder (approximately 4.6 g) to every 30 ml of water.
