ConnettivinaBio Plus Fidia - Medical Device in Impregnated Gauze

CONNETTIVINABIO PLUS Gauze are gauze impregnated with cream based on hyaluronic acid sodium salt as the main component. Hyaluronic acid is a biological polysaccharide (glycosaminoglycan) distributed in the cellular matrix of most tissues. It can participate in many and different tissue repair processes facilitating healing and re-epithelialization. Thanks to its hydrophilic properties it provides a humid environment useful for the healing process. Silver sulfadiazine is a known antimicrobial agent that inhibits the in vitro growth of nearly all pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The presence of silver sulfadiazine in the composition of the product plays a role in preventing microbial contamination, thus improving the ability of hyaluronic acid to support wound healing. These features allow the dressing to be changed once a day: this causes low patient discomfort and low exposure of the lesion to air, thus reducing the possibility of wound contamination.

Composition

Main component: Hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.05%

Other components: 1% silver sulfadiazine, polyethylene glycol 4000, glycerol, purified water, cotton for gauze.

Indications

CONNETTIVINABIO PLUS Gauze are indicated for the treatment of skin lesions, especially those with a high risk of infection. They are suitable in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds (first and second degree burns, vascular and metabolic ulcers and pressure sores) and to provide the wound with a moist and microbe-free environment. CONNETTIVINABIO PLUS Gauze can be used on non-infected wounds in order to prevent infection and, after successful treatment on infected wounds, its reappearance.

Dose and administration

Cleanse the wound before each application. Apply one or more gauzes, depending on the size of the wound, once or twice a day depending on the severity, until complete healing. Prolonged treatments, over a month, must be evaluated by a doctor on the basis of the clinical evolution of the wound. Use sterile tweezers to take the gauze. The treated area should be covered with a sterile bandage.

Contraindications

Do not administer to patients with known individual hypersensitivity to any of the components or with renal or hepatic insufficiency or with a deficiency of glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase. Do not administer to pregnant women and children. Warnings and Precautions Do not use in case of damaged package. Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package. The expiry date refers to the product in its original packaging at a temperature below 30 ° C. The gauze is for single use, this means it can only be used once and by a single patient. If the product is reused, Fidia Farmaceutici does not offer the correct performance, functionality, structure of the material or the cleaning and aseptic conditions of the product. Reuse could cause illness, infection and / or serious injury to the patient or user. After use, dispose of according to specific national procedures. Keep out of reach of children.

Avoid exposing treated areas to sunlight, as products containing silver sulfadiazine can stain the skin a brownish gray color. However, any staining can be easily removed by washing the area.
