Superabsorber Non-Adhesive
Description
Sterile dressing to be used on highly exuding wounds, composed of a breathable and waterproof non-woven polypropylene layer, a super-absorbent core formed by layers of non-woven cellulose with sodium polyacrylate powder, a layer of breathable polypropylene fabric. Its three layers facilitate fluid management and provide the ideal moist wound environment for faster healing. The absorbent pad provides better absorption and locks in exudate, minimizing the risk of maceration and damage to the periwound skin.
ConvaMax Superabsorber Non-Adhesive Dressing is indicated for the management of moderately to highly exuding wounds, including:
-Lower limb ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
-Dehiscences of surgical lesions.
ConvaMax Superabsorber Non-Adhesive can be used as both a primary and secondary dressing.
Dressing compatible with compression bandaging.
Sterilization method: ethylene oxide.
Latex free.
How to use
After cleansing the wound, choose the appropriate dressing so that there is sufficient space around the wound edge. ConvaMaxSuperabsorber Adhesive dressing can be used as both a primary and secondary dressing. As a primary dressing, it should be in close contact with the wound bed to ensure fluid absorption. The white surface should be in contact with the skin while the blue waterproof part should stay away from the body. Secure the dressing with a bandage, tape or compression if deemed clinically appropriate. The frequency with which the dressing needs to be changed depends on the amount of exudate. The removal of the dressing can be facilitated by moistening it with the saline solution. Dispose of as hospital waste. If contaminated, follow local regulations.
Maximum time in situ: 7 days.
Warnings
Do not use on lesions with arterial bleeding and heavily bleeding lesions.
