ConvaMax Superabsorber ConvaTec - Silicone Adhesive Dressings

ConvaMax ™ combines high absorption and retention to help protect the wound from excess exudate contributing to skin integrity

High absorbency of liquids, even under pressure *

Chronic wound exudate can be corrosive to the wound bed and intact skin. ConvaMax ™ absorbs high levels of exudate in its Super Absorbent Core (SAP) (up to 170g / 100cm2) locking it away from the wound and helping to promote skin integrity.

High retention of fluids and bacteria *

Once the exudate has been absorbed, ConvaMax ™ holds fluid within the SAP ensuring that it is not released back onto the wound, bedding or clothing.

Protease modulation * 2

It has been proven in-vitro how ConvaMax ™ not only absorbs MMPs but constrains it. This reduces the excess of MMPs in the wound environment and promotes healing.

Delicate and conformable *

It is gentle on the skin, easy to apply and remove to suit the patient. Protective blue backing prevents spillage and maintains conformability. Choosing a dressing that effectively manages the level of exudate can mean increasing residence time, having a positive impact on waste and costs while also aiding healing1

A choice that fits every injury *

The choice of a wide range of sizes that adapts to any type of injury. Including the choice of an adhesive or non-adhesive version.

Extra protection *

ConvaMax ™ can be used as a primary or secondary dressing. When additional primary dressing is required, it can be used with Hydrofiber® such as AQUACEL® EXTRA ™. Exudate can be passed through the Hydrofiber® layer and absorbed through ConvaMax ™, providing a combination of advanced wound contact and high absorbency.

  • The technology inside blocks the fluid away
  • Dressings made of cotton, viscose, polyester or foam absorb the fluid inside. However, fluid can escape from the dressing under pressure
  • Manages excess substances to help protect skin integrity
  • When there is a real risk of skin damage from excess exudate, ConvaMax ™ is ideal. Available in non-adhesive and adhesive silicone versions, it provides ideal flexibility to support your care protocol. This includes compression bandages or the additional use of a primary dressing.
